Since the start of the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED® Green Building Rating SystemTM in 2000, the program has developed tremendously. At this time, the certification system has a portfolio of 9 rating system products that cater to specific markets. The LEED for Homes program was founded in 2008 after the seeing a need for a program like the green building rating system for residential buildings.
San Antonio has its own collection of highly rated green buildings. Below are some of them.
LEED certified & NAHB Bronze certified
Located in the Southtown / King Williams district at 301 East Cevallos Street, this development includes mixed income rates and housing for people in different income brackets.
Community living here includes an art gallery with local artists, two business centers, fountains, cabana, a gazebo, fire pit, three fitness centers, swimming pool, and clubhouse.
